NEWS: Many media outlets announced on September 13th, 2007 that the Burj Dubai had finally surpassed the 553m height of Toronto's CN Tower, officially making it the world's tallest free-standing structure on land.
Function: The majority of the tower's floor space will be dedicated to offices. Architectural drawings show that some floors have been designated as retail, while others will contain residential space.
Height: Various reports have stated that the Burj Dubai's height will range from 700 to 950 metres. The official height will supposedly be announced upon completion of the project.
